GNAT trains about 500 teachers for promotion

A training programme has been organised by the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) for roughly 500 of its members in the Volta Region who are due for promotion.

The program’s goal is to appropriately train teachers for promotions to various ranks in their field of work.

It was organised by the Volta Regional GNAT Directorate

The programme, which falls under GNAT’s Education and Professional Development agenda, saw the training of qualified members in all of the association’s operational districts, according to the vice chairman for the Volta region, Ayuba Aguda.

Ayuba Aguda stated that the association would continue to provide chances for members to increase their capacity in order to satisfy the demands of the education sector.

The recipients are eligible for promotion to Principal Superintendent, Assistant Director II, Assistant Director I, and Deputy Director, according to Lois Tipong-Asare, the chairperson of the Ho Municipality.

According to her, the purpose of the orientation is to prepare the beneficiaries for the promotional examinations and teach them how to correctly respond to questions in order to improve their performance.

She insisted that the association always has the teacher’s best interests in mind, which is why “we propose programmes that will directly benefit the teacher.”
