GNPC Foundation, KGL join forces to support 1,000 more Ghanaian students

The GNPC Foundation and KGL Foundation have entered into a strategic partnership to support an additional 1,000 Ghanaian students under their scholarship programme, as the two institutions seek to deepen investment in education through public-private collaboration.

The partnership is being positioned as a new approach to Corporate Social Investment (CSI) in Ghana, with the two organisations pooling resources, expertise, networks and institutional capabilities to extend the reach and impact of education support.

The additional 1,000 beneficiaries will build on the GNPC Foundation’s support for more than 9,700 students through its national and international scholarship programmes over the years.

The Foundation said the collaboration demonstrates what can be achieved when public institutions and private enterprises move beyond working alongside each other and instead combine their strengths around shared development priorities.

“For the GNPC Foundation, this is an important step in our evolving approach to social investment,” the Foundation said.

It said the future of CSI in Ghana must increasingly focus on “partnerships, scale, accountability and measurable impact”, particularly by linking public priorities with private-sector resources.

According to the Foundation, such partnerships can help create interventions that reach more people while delivering sustainable value to beneficiaries and the wider society.

The GNPC Foundation and KGL Foundation said the partnership marks a broader commitment to using collaboration as a vehicle for expanding educational opportunities and achieving greater development impact.
