Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare gets car gift from business tycoon

A prominent businessman, Alhaji Seidu has donated a car to Benjamin Asare, the goalkeeper for the Black Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak.

The kind gesture followed a viral video that showed the national team player boarding a commercial minibus, popularly known as “Trotro”, like any ordinary citizen.

The footage sparked a wave of conversation online, with many expressing surprise and concern over the lack of support for local footballers who serve the country at the highest level.

Alhaji Seidu, moved by the video and the humility displayed by the player, decided to step in and reward Asare’s dedication and modesty.

“I was touched by his humility and how he carried himself with dignity despite his status as a national player,” Alhaji Seidu said. “He deserves better.”

Benjamin Asare, visibly emotional, thanked the businessman for the surprise gift, calling it a timely intervention and a morale booster.

“I thank all the supporters of Hearts of Oak and everyone. It is incredible for a lovely gesture to be extended to someone like me. I thank the whole nation and the president for this opportunity. I also thank my coach Ouattara and everyone who has helped me. I thank Ghanaians as well. God willing, we will be at the World Cup.” Benjamin Asare added
