Goaso Omanhene Roots For Alan

THE PARAMOUNT Chief of Goaso Traditional Area of the Ahafo Region, Nana Akwasi Bosompra I, has stressed that it is time for Alan Kyerematen to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, the former Trade and Industry Minister has served the party faithfully and diligently since 1992, proving through his work that he has the qualities to lead the country.

Nana Bosompra, who presided over the Goaso Traditional Council when Mr. Kyerematen called on Nananom last Friday to announce his bid for the flagbearership of the NPP, noted that Ghanaians admired his competence, and the rich qualities he possessed to lead the party.

The Alan Campaign Team, which made this known, said Nana Akwasi Bosompra extolled the sterling leadership qualities of Mr. Kyerematen, including his ability to churn out results for productivity, his humility, and patience, as making him capable of leading the party.

As a result, the Omanhene urged delegates to elect the former Trade and Industry Minister as their presidential candidate for 2024, adding he was hopeful the Ghanaian electorate would willingly accept him.

The Goaso Omanhene blessed the presidential hopeful and assured him of his support, invoking the support of Asanteman and Nananom of the Ahafo Region, reiterating the backing of the Golden Stool for Alan’s candidature for the flagbearership of the NPP.

Western North

In a related development, our Western Regional Correspondent, Emmanuel Opoku, reports that Mr. Kyerematen on Saturday took his campaign to the Western North Region.

He visited the region to seek the blessings of the chiefs and the people as well as to court the support of the regional executives of the party on his political journey.

Hundreds of NPP activists in the region followed the flagbearer hopeful and his entourage to all the constituencies they visited, amidst brass band music.

They openly told the former Minister of Trade and Industry that they would continue to give him their unflinching support to help him win the 2024 presidential election for the party, when elected as the flagbearer.

They said, “It is Alan’s turn now and we are ever ready to do the grassroots work to help him lead the party to break the 8.”

The former Trade Minister and his entourage first visited the Okogyeabour palace in Sefwi Wiawso where he paid a courtesy call on the members of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council.

He indicated that he deemed it appropriate to visit the chiefs to let them know that he was in their area to sell his vision to NPP delegates to get their support.

He explained to the people that while serving in government, he got the approval to initiate a lot of policies that are changing the lives of Ghanaians. Prominent among them was the One District, One Factory initiative, which has seen many factories being established across the nation.

He called for the support of all and sundry, particularly party delegates, to enable him to win the flagbearer position and lead the party in the next general election as presidential candidate of the NPP.

Nana Kwasi Ofori II, speaking on behalf of the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, Katakyire Kwasi Bumangamah II, wished Alan Kyerematen the best in the NPP presidential primaries.

He appealed to him and flagbearer hopefuls of the NPP to do decent campaigns, devoid of insults and name-calling to ensure there is unity in the party after the presidential primaries.
