Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has officially reported to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in connection with a misconduct petition filed against him.
The petition was lodged by Richard Jakpa, the Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat, who has been a central figure in recent legal and political developments.
Mr. Dame appeared before the CID to assist with investigations following the formal complaint, signaling his cooperation with the authorities and commitment to due process.
Though full details of the petition have not yet been made public, sources indicate that it concerns alleged professional misconduct during Dame’s tenure as Attorney General. Jakpa has previously been involved in the high-profile ambulance procurement case and has made several public allegations in recent months.
The CID has confirmed receipt of the petition and has begun preliminary inquiries as part of the standard investigative process.
“Mr. Dame’s appearance was part of procedural steps to respond to the petition. He provided preliminary information to assist the investigation,” a source close to the CID said.
