A swift intervention by Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team, chaired by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has saved four government bungalows behind the State House from demolition.
The bungalows, occupied by government workers from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Gender, Children and Social Protection, were under threat from a faceless private developer who claimed to have purchased the land last year.
According to Ablakwa, the private developer sent thugs to demand that the government workers vacate the premises.
However, team ORAL acted promptly on a distress petition from the workers, and President Mahama’s National Security Committee moved in to protect the bungalows.
“We have asked the government workers… not to move out of their bungalows as demanded by the thugs,” Ablakwa stated.
President Mahama has also made it clear that “no government bungalow is for sale”.
In a bold move, Ablakwa served notice that the private developers should seek a refund from whoever they claimed to have bought the state lands from.
He emphasized, “No more State Capture! For God and Country. Ghana First.”
