The government has begun a nationwide streetlight installation project aimed at improving public safety and supporting the 24-hour economy.
At the launch of the Streetlights Rehabilitation and Installation Project in Accra, Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Richard Gyan-Mensah, said more than a thousand new streetlights will be installed across the country.
He explained that the initiative forms part of government efforts to enhance security and create a safer environment for business activity after dark.
