Govt promises Sunyani traders ultra-modern market complex

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Sunyani, Ansu Kumi, has promised to construct an ultra-modern market complex for traders in the Bosoma Market.

According to the MCE, the project, estimated to cost between GH¢16 million and GH¢17 million, will provide a safe and conducive trading environment for the traders.

The complex will include commercial lock-up stores, a police post, fire service station, washrooms, health center, banking halls, and a creche, among others.

The MCE made this promise in an exclusive interview with Metro TV, assuring that the project will be completed within six months.

He emphasized that the safety and security of the traders are paramount, and the new market complex will address the concerns of the traders.

The traders, who have been operating under high tension electricity cables and towers, have expressed relief and gratitude for the MCE’s promise.

They appealed to the authorities to expedite the project’s completion to enable them to operate in a safe environment.

The MCE’s promise has been welcomed by the traders and the community, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the completion of the project.
