Gov’t Would Work With Atsu’s Family To Give Befitting Burial– Bawumia

 

The Government of Ghana has said it is committed to working with Christian Atsu’s family to provide for a dignified funeral for the late Ghanaian international football player.

This was announced by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during an official handing over ceremony of the mortal remains of the former Black Stars player.

Thirteen days after a powerful earthquake that killed hundreds of people, Christian Atsu’s body was discovered in Turkey.

At the Kotoka International Airport to welcome the footballer’s mortal remains home, relatives of the deceased, politicians, football icons, and loved ones were there.

The mortal remains have since been sent to the 37 Military Hospital.
