GUTA mourns helicopter crash victims

The Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) has extended its condolences to the government and people of Ghana following the tragic military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, at Adansi Afrofoum District in the Ashanti Region.

In a statement signed by Secretary-General Alpha A. Shaibu, GUTA expressed deep sadness over the sudden death of two cabinet ministers and six others in the crash.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the sudden death of two Honourable Ministers and six others in a Military helicopter crash at Adansi Afrofoum District in Ashanti Region,” the statement read.

GUTA also expressed sympathy to the families of the victims, particularly their wives and children, for the loss of their “kinsmen and breadwinners.”

The association offered solace to the families, citing, “We hope the families will take solace in the fact that from God we came, and to Him shall we return. May He (Almighty God) grant all of us the patience and fortitude to overcome this great shock.”

GUTA prayed for the souls of the departed to “rest in peace.”
