Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister for Education, has been discharged from the 37 Military Hospital following a road traffic accident, his office has announced.
In a statement issued on Saturday, February 14, the Office of the Minister for Education confirmed that Haruna Iddrisu is recovering steadily and has been advised to take time off to rest.
“The Office of the Honourable Minister for Education announces that Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has been discharged from the 37 Military Hospital following a road traffic accident,” the statement said.
It added that the Minister “is in good spirits and has been advised to rest as part of his recovery.”
The statement further expressed appreciation to healthcare workers and the public for their support during his period of treatment.
“The Minister expresses sincere gratitude to the medical team and all who offered prayers and support,” the statement noted.
No further details were provided on the circumstances surrounding the accident. However, the Ministry assured the public that the Minister is responding well to treatment and is expected to resume official duties after adequate rest and recovery.
