Head Coach of Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara, has voiced his disappointment following his side’s 2-0 defeat to Aduana FC in an outstanding Gameweek 22 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
Goals from Sam Adams and Abdel Latif Bamba sealed a comfortable win for Aduana FC, handing the Phobians another frustrating result as their inconsistency continues to cloud their season.
Speaking in the aftermath of the match, Coach Ouattara was brutally honest in his assessment, admitting that his side were simply second-best throughout the game.
“Aduana played well. We didn’t play football today. We gave them all the chances to score. From the first half, we were poor. Truth be told, we were not good at all. We made a lot of mistakes, and they punished us for them,” a frustrated Outtara said after the game.
Outtara was particularly concerned about his team’s work rate and discipline on the field.
“We didn’t run at all in the game. If you look at the first goal and the second one, both came from avoidable errors. Even the corner that led to a goal, we just weren’t switched on. I’m not happy, and I will let my players know exactly how I feel.”
The defeat leaves Hearts of Oak in 7th place on the Ghana Premier League table with 41 points, while Aduana FC sit in 11th place with 35 points.
