The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has officially inaugurated Dr (Med) Hintermann K. K. Mbroh as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ho Teaching Hospital, along with an eleven-member Governing Board to oversee the strategic direction and governance of the institution.
The inauguration ceremony took place on 16th June 2025 in Accra and was presided over by officials from the Ministry of Health.
The event marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s continued growth as a premier tertiary healthcare and training institution in Ghana.
Dr. Hintermann Mbroh assumes leadership with an extensive background in clinical practice, hospital administration, and healthcare systems development.
His appointment is expected to bring renewed focus on clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and the hospital’s role in training and research.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Mbroh expressed his appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work collaboratively with the Board, staff, and key stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and institutional development.

The newly sworn-in Governing Board, chaired by Dr. Delanyo Yao Tsidi Dovlo, comprising other professionals from various sectors including medicine, academia, finance, and law, is expected to provide oversight and policy direction in alignment with the Ministry’s broader health sector agenda.
The Ministry of Health commended the outgoing leadership team for their service and reaffirmed its commitment to equipping Ho Teaching Hospital with the necessary resources and governance support to thrive as a centre of excellence in healthcare delivery, training, and research.
