HORECE Donates 200 Pairs of Sandals to Asibirim Schoolchildren

Hope Renewal Center (HORECE) has donated 200 pairs of sandals to pupils of Asibirim DA Basic School in the Eastern Region to support their education and welfare.

The donation is part of HORECE’s ongoing efforts to improve the wellbeing of children and vulnerable groups by responding to practical needs that can affect their daily lives and schooling.

The footwear was presented by Ms Helena Asamoah on behalf of HORECE Founder, Maame Afua Akoto, during an engagement with the school community.

The initiative was particularly targeted at children who sometimes had to walk to school barefoot, with the organisation seeking to provide them with basic footwear and help them attend school with greater comfort and dignity.

Headmaster Enoch Arthur, teachers and pupils of Asibirim DA Basic School expressed their appreciation to HORECE for the support and its commitment to the welfare of the children.

On behalf of the pupils, KG 2 student Fiduas Mohammed thanked the organisation for the donation and offered praises and blessings to the donors.

Maame Afua Akoto and the HORECE directorate said the intervention was intended to demonstrate that children can benefit from support in different forms, whether large or small.

The organisation expressed hope that the gesture would encourage other organisations and individuals to identify children in need within their communities and provide support that can help them realise their potential.

HORECE said initiatives such as the footwear donation can contribute to creating a more supportive environment for children to pursue their education and develop their capabilities.
