Horror as lifeless body of unidentified man is found in Mankessim

A lifeless body of a man believed to be in his thirties has been found with all his body parts intact but had his two legs swollen with blood stains at Mankessim near the Muslim Cemetery.

The deceased was tied with a rope and from a clear observation, he was a sane person – of sound mind and capable of making good judgment.

An eyewitness who gave his name as Ato Kwamena, a medical doctor concluded after a preliminary examination that the unidentified man apparently died from severe beatings — an indication that he was murdered. ews, the Assemblyman for the area Mohammed Ekow Arthur, disclosed the mortal remains of the man had been deposited at the Satpond Government Hospital morgue for preservation and examination.

He also appealed to the Ghana Police Service to equip the Mankessim Divisional Command with the needed logistics to enhance proper security protection, especially as Christmas nears.

Meanwhile, the incident is causing fear and panic as the locals say they are scared for their lives and they have appealed to the police to ensure maximum security in the township.
