Accra’s streets were awash in shades of pink on Friday, October 31, 2025, as hundreds thronged the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) premises to participate in this year’s Pink Clinic Festival – an event dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, early detection, and holistic wellness.
Organized by MetroCare, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Ignite Media Group, in partnership with the Community Care and Rehabilitation Association (CCRA), the festival brought together health professionals, advocacy groups, cancer survivors, and members of the public for a day of education, empowerment, and free medical care.

Under the theme “Let’s Fight Breast Cancer Together,” the festival provided a wide range of free health services, including breast cancer screening, dental and cholesterol checks, blood glucose tests, BMI assessments, ear and eye screenings, and malaria testing. Attendees also visited a health exhibition showcasing wellness innovations and support organizations.

The organizers expressed delight at the turnout and community enthusiasm.
“Our goal was to make health awareness accessible and exciting. Seeing so many women and men show up for screening proves that the message is sinking in,” they said.
The festival also featured performances, , and interactive sessions that encouraged participants to embrace healthy lifestyles and prioritize regular medical checkups.

Ignite Media Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility manager, Adriana Akosua Gyafo Adjei, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to sustaining the initiative.
“This event is not just a festival; it’s a movement for change. We will continue to use our platforms to amplify health awareness and support early detection efforts,” she noted.

The Pink Clinic Festival, which coincides annually with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, continues to serve as one of Accra’s most impactful health outreach events, blending compassion, education, and community spirit in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
