I will never resign from Hearts of Oak Board – Sowah Odotei to Supporters

Hearts of Oak Board member Vincent Odotei-Sowah has reiterated that he has no plans of resigning from the Hearts Of Oak Board despite pressure from the supporters to step down.

The former law maker has been blamed by some supporters of Hearts Of Oak for being responsible for the difficulties the club is currently facing.

His car was attacked and vandalised by the supporters after Sunday’s game against Real Bamako of Mali in the CAF Confederation Cup when they failed to qualify for the next round of the competition.

Following the anger of the die-hard supporters’ reactions at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday, the Ghana Police, together with other private security agencies, were forced to provide security for the former MP and other board members until the situation was calmed.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Accra-based Original 91.9FM ,Vincent Sowah Odotei stated emphatically that he has no plans of resigning from his post despite the pressure from the supporters.

“I will not resign from the board…I was appointed by the Board chairman and he is the only person who can say I should leave and that will be all…I was invited by the board and they announced my appointment so it is purely based on my competence as a club administrator” he added.
