Outgoing General Secretary of the National Democratic (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has expressed his readiness to work with the incumbent National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampfo if he unseats him.

Speaking to Annie Afua Ampofo on Metro TV on the grounds of the NDC National Delegates Congress at the Accra Sports stadium, General Mosquito as he is known said he is optimistic about unseating Mr. Ofosu Ampofo in the chairmanship race but he will work with him.

“I will surely win,” Asiedu Nketia said, adding “Luckily, our party makes a retired National Chairman or a General Secretary an automatic member of the Council of Elders, so, surely my friend [Samuel Ofosu Ampofo] will go to Council of Elders and we’ll still work together.”

Mr. Asiedu Nketia also denied division in the biggest opposition party stating that if there is any, the party structure will mend it before the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
