The campaign team of Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has refuted reports claiming that the former NPP General Secretary has been disqualified from contesting in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.
In a statement released on Wednesday, October 8, the Kwabena Agyei Agyepong 2028 Campaign Team described the publications and social media rumours as false and unfounded, urging the public and party supporters to ignore them.
According to the statement, Mr. Agyepong successfully completed the vetting process of the NPP Presidential Elections Committee and has been officially invited by the party headquarters to take part in the balloting exercise scheduled for Friday, October 10, at Asylum Down.
The campaign’s spokesperson, Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarko, reaffirmed that Agyepong remains a qualified, dedicated, and loyal aspirant committed to the democratic principles of the New Patriotic Party and to Ghana’s development.
“We urge the public to disregard such false claims, which are clear attempts to mislead and divert attention from the unity, vision, and focus of our campaign,” the statement said.
The team further emphasized that its vision remains rooted in promoting integrity, service, and renewal within both the NPP and the nation at large.
