IMANI Africa boss reports NDC supporters to police over harassment of civil servants at Roman Ridge

President of policy think tank, IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has reported the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over the alleged harassment of civil servants resident at Roman Ridge.

In a post shared on Facebook, Franklin Cudjoe wrote that supporters of the NDC have taken the law into their own hands, forcing civil servants to vacate government residential properties at Roman Ridge.

He described the situation as “critical” and posing a “significant threat to the safety and well-being of the civil servants and their families”.

Franklin Cudjoe shared a message from a civil servant who claimed that renovation works on a property allocated to them, which had been ongoing since June 2023, had been halted by the NDC supporters.

The civil servant appealed to him to use his contacts to get the attention of the IGP, Dr.George Akuffo Dampare.

“We need his urgent intervention to restore order and bring the perpetrators to justice,” Franklin Cudjoe quoted the civil servant to have said.

Franklin Cudjoe condemned the actions of the NDC supporters, describing them as “uncivil” and calling on the party to “desist” from such behavior.

He also informed the IGP publicly about the situation, stating that he had already done so privately.
