The parliamentary primaries of the NPP is beginning to get heated in some constituencies of the Northern region. One of such constituencies is the Bimbila constituency where two people have successfully filed their forms to contest in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.

These include the Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul and Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk, a vibrant young man of the party in the Constituency.

It was however shocking to the youth of the party in the constituency when news broke that, Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk’s name was not part of the vetting list for unexplained reasons.

The angry youth in response, vandalized the party office in the constituency asking the party to bring back the name of Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk to ensure a smooth election process in the constituency.

The youth also accused the Defence Minister of masterminding the removal to ensure that he goes unopposed.

Attempts by Metro News to get the Northern Regional party leadership’s comment on the issue proved futile.
