Iron ore has been discovered in the Oti Region.
The mineral resource was found in five districts of the region.
The districts include; Guan, Biakoye, Jasikan, Kadjebi, and Krachi East.
This is according to the Oti Regional Minister Mr. Joshua Gmayenaam Makuba.
Mr. Makuba was optimistic the discovery will help transform the financial fortunes of the nation, hence urged investors to migrate to the region.
“I want to advise people in Accra to start looking for land in the Oti Region because what is going to take Ghana from our current state to a very industrialised nation has been found in the Oti Region and that is the iron ore,” he said at a press conference in Accra on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
“Currently we are at a stage the technical people will call it mineral resource estimation to get the actual tonnage available on the land,” Mr. Makuba added.
