Is the NDC allowing job revocations based on gender or time of employment or discrimination? Dr. Adomako Kissi writes

There is a fundamental flaw in hiring within three months towards the end of an administrative tenure and needs to be looked at carefully. Am wondering if we wish to punish the people who decided to hire or the young people who were seeking well paying jobs and an opportunity to serve the nation.

This administration like many others maybe guided by some very bad past practices. An eye for an eye leaves us both blind as the saying goes. I think this is an incoherent theory within the political space and must be stopped moving forward. People with great personalities, great knowledge and experience will be gravely affected by this decision. Another humiliation and violation of peoples rights on the job. We must put this practice to a stop forever and ever.

The showing of deliberate indifference to the violation of employment agreements and individual liberty is unacceptable. Can the NDC say this should be the status quo moving forward each time there is a government change or take over? We may need to develop a bill that stops the hiring officers to make such decisions before or after elections as we near any end of tenure.

We are talking about discretionary decisions around the country by different institutions to hire people towards the end of tenure/administration. Is there a miraculous recurrence of excessive hiring towards the end of tenure? Terminations are largely for misconduct or when companies need to downsize. Either reason are not favourable for the youth who are job seekers.

Let me state that, we need no proof that doubling or increasing productivity does not require hiring more hands. Maybe this was in the fine print for the 24 hour economy policy. The people must be objective and interrogate the 24-hour economy policy. Termination of workers seem more like a LEAN-ECONOMY than the 24-hour economy that was promised. I stand to be corrected since I may be subjective in my thinking. Let us not accept this idea of firing people soon after winning elections and let’s work on a bill to bring clarity into the hiring decisions  of heads of institutions as we near elections or after elections when results are called for the opposition party or government. Thanks. I write in support of all workers both essential and non-essential workers.
