Member of NPP’s Communications Team, Awal Mohammed has questioned the scope of the government’s Free Primary Healthcare policy, arguing that it does not yet cover the entire country as promised.
During a discussion on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana show hosted by Moro Awudu, he said, “So you see, the free primary healthcare, it is very important… but in his remarks, he said that you can go to every CHP compound.”
He claimed the rollout currently covers only 150 districts under phase one, which he said raises concerns about nationwide access.
“110 districts across the country are not part of this free primary healthcare. And that is worrying because you promised that you would do nationwide,” he said.
He added that the programme’s infrastructure readiness remained in doubt.
