National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Setor Dumelo, has apologized and retracted his previous comments regarding the death of Lydia Alhassan’s husband.
Writing on Facebook, John Dumelo said, “I apologize and unreservedly retract my previous comments… My comments were in response to personal attacks by supporters of the honorable minister, including false allegations regarding my mother’s death.”
“However, I recognize that my reaction was inappropriate,” he added.
John Dumelo extended his “sincere and unconditional apologies” to Lydia Alhassan, saying his statements did not reflect his values.
The renowned actor assured the constituents of his commitment to the development and progress of Ayawaso West Wuogon.
“I want to assure the people of AWW of my full commitment to the development and progress of our constituency.”
“I sincerely apologize and retract my statements,” he concluded.
