Jollof Festival: How to get to Metro TV

If you’re heading to the maiden edition of the Metro TV Jollof Festival, getting to the venue is straightforward, whether you’re using public transport or driving.

The festival takes place at the Metro TV premises at North Ridge, Accra – No.9 Dr. Isert Street, just about a minute’s walk – almost a stone’s throw – from Alisa Hotel, a well-known landmark in the area.

Using public transport (trotro or taxi)

North Ridge sits along the Ring Road corridor, making it accessible from several parts of Accra.

If you’re coming from Lapaz, take a vehicle to Circle. From Circle, join any car heading along the Ring Road and alight at Kanda Mobil. From Kanda Mobil, Metro TV is a very short walk or quick taxi ride away.

Commuters travelling from Kasoa, Odorkor or Kaneshie should also take a vehicle to Circle, where they can easily connect to cars plying the Ring Road route and drop at Kanda Mobil.

From Ashaiman, Teshie and Nungua, board vehicles heading towards Circle. These vehicles all use the same Ring Road stretch and passengers can conveniently alight at Sankara (Ako Adjei) or Kanda Mobil, which is closest to the Metro TV premises.

Passengers coming from Madina, Shiashie and 37 Military Hospital can also use vehicles heading to Circle. These vehicles use the Ring Road route. These cars pass through the same stretch and allow commuters to alight at Kanda Mobil and walk to Metro TV.

Alternatively, pick a car en route Accra Central and alight at Sankara or Ako Adjei.
