The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, says the company deployed more than 2,200 vehicles and pieces of equipment to support the just-ended Presidential Clean-up Exercise across the country.
Speaking to journalists after the second day of the exercise, Dr. Agyepong said Zoomlion Ghana Limited mobilised 150 tipper trucks, 30 refuse compactors, 210 long trailers and about 2,000 Aboboyaa tricycles to help clear waste from communities.
He said the company operated in all 29 districts of the Greater Accra Region, adding that teams remained on the ground to ensure no debris was left behind.
“Day two of the clean-up was basically mopping up what we did on day one. Our target is to ensure that every waste is cleared and our communities are left clean,” he said.
Dr. Agyepong urged residents to support efforts to keep the environment clean by subscribing to the services of licensed waste management companies and disposing of refuse responsibly.
“The Ghana we want should be a cleaner Ghana. Therefore, all residents should exercise good practices when it comes to managing waste and sanitation,” he added.
