Kantamanto fire: 13 fire tenders deployed to bring blaze under control

A fierce fire outbreak ravaged parts of the Kantamanto market in Accra on new year day, prompting a massive deployment of fire tenders to bring the situation under control.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), a total of 13 fire appliances have been deployed to the scene to combat the blaze.

In a series of updates on its Facebook page, the GNFS assured the public that they are working tirelessly to bring the situation under control.

“Despite the fierce blaze, the GNFS assures the public that they are working tirelessly to bring the situation under control,” the GNFS stated.

The fire tenders were deployed from various stations, including Abelenkpe, Kasapreko, Circle, Trade Fair, Dansoman, Legon, Tema Regional HQ, and Madina.

“The large deployment of resources is part of GNFS’ efforts to combat the blaze effectively and bring it under control,” the GNFS added.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but the GNFS has assured the public that they will work to bring the fire under control and extinguish it promptly.
