As part of measures to cushion staff in the present predicament caused by rising inflation and Cedi depreciation, Kasapreko Company Limited has announced a relief package for its workers.
Kasapreko is giving its workers a double salary.
The workers will receive double salary for the month of November.
All permanent, contract, and casual staff are eligible for the pragmatic measures.
An internal memo to the staff signed by the company’s Managing Director, Mr, Richard Adjei said, “in view of the economic volatilities in the country which are affecting the wellbeing of staff, management is gravely concerned.”
“…expectation that this payment would bring relief to all staff and their families as we weather these challenges,” management of the giant indigenous alcoholic beverage brand added.
Ghanaians are enduring unprecedented hardship post-COVID and as a result, several people calling for the dismissal of the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, and the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen.
According to them, removing the two key figures will restore confidence in the country’s finances.
The hardships, occasioned by rising inflation, the Cedi depreciation against major trading currencies, and the constant increase of petroleum products, have seen the cost of living skyrocketing and causing panic.
