Kasoa: Man missing after suspected armed robbery in Fijai

Police in the Central Region are investigating the disappearance of a 35-year-old man after what is believed to be an armed robbery attack at Fijai near Kasoa in the Gomoa East District.

The missing man, identified as Ben Owusu, a seller of POP materials, reportedly sent desperate messages to his landlord and a female friend around 2:50 a.m., pleading for help as intruders stormed his apartment.

Residents say the messages were only seen hours later in the morning. When they rushed to his home, they discovered bloodstains on the floor but no trace of Owusu.

Police confirmed that his Android phone, the one used to send the distress calls, could not be found. However, two other phones and a laptop belonging to him had been smashed.

A search has been launched for both the victim and the suspected attackers. Investigators say the unusual nature of the crime raises questions about whether robbery was the real motive, as nothing of significant value appears to have been taken.
