Labour Unions at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) have rallied behind the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Prof. Otchere Addai-Mensah, dismissing allegations of financial impropriety and procurement violations levelled against him as groundless and fraught with inaccuracies.
The unions, in a joint statement sighted by Metro TV, expressed their unwavering support for Prof. Addai-Mensah, citing his dedication and achievements since his appointment as CEO.
They described the petition by a private legal practitioner, Kwame Adofo, as an attempt to undermine the CEO’s efforts due to parochial interests.
According to the unions, the allegations do not define Prof. Addai-Mensah’s character and dedication to the well-being and development of the hospital and urged President Akufo-Addo to disregard the petition.
They vowed to resist any attempts to undermine the CEO’s efforts, citing his positive impact on the hospital since his appointment.
