Renowned Ghanaian businessman and entrepreneur Kennedy Agyapong, popularly known as Kenpong is currently receiving treatment at the Nyaho Clinic in Accra after suffering serious injuries in a freak domestic accident at his home.
According to family sources, Kenpong, who recently returned from Canada and the United States, slipped on a wet bathroom floor while reaching for an item on a high shelf.
The accident caused him to fall heavily, resulting fractures and a significant head injury.
He was immediately rushed to the Nyaho Clinic, where he remains on admission in stable but serious condition under close medical attention.
Mr. Kenpong is a respected figure in Ghana’s business community, known for his successful ventures in various sectors including trading, construction, football and logistics. His companies have contributed significantly to employment and economic activity in the country.
The businessman shared a great friendship with legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba. The two maintained a close bond since their youth, with Daddy Lumba often publicly acknowledging Mr. Kenpong as one of his dearest and longest-standing friends when he was alive.
The family has requested privacy as medical teams continue to manage Mr. Kenpong’s condition. Updates on his progress are expected in the coming days.
