Members of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network of NDC (TEIN) at Kings University College in Accra, have elected new executives to steer the affairs of the main opposition party.
The new executives are, Zambaga Rufai Saminu, President, Level 400 law student, Desmond Kofi Annan, Vice President, Level 400 law student, Jeffrey Tagoe, Secretary, level 300 law student, John Nakpuni Muatu, Deputy Secretary, level 300 law student.
Also, Lily Asante, Treasurer, Level 300 law student, Rosemary Fiamafle, Women Commissioner, Level 400, Isaac Addo Quaye, Organizer Level 200 law student,
Isaac Offei Bekoe, Communications Officer Level 300, Kamaldeen Haruna, External Affairs Officer, Level 300 law student, Hamamat Dauda, Zongo Caucus, Level 400 law student and Buaka Richard, Level 400 ICT student.
Gideon Hammond, Deputy Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer who sworn into the new executive cautioned them against complacency.
He charged the new executive to work hard to redeem the pledge made to members of TEIN prior to the election and inauguration.
Whilst acknowledging the role expected of the new executive, he said they must acquire knowledge and follow activities of the flag bearer of the NDC, former President John Dramani Mahama to understand and spread his campaign messages.
Addressing members of TEIN at the inauguration ceremony of the new administration, the newly elected President, Zambaga Rufai Saminu, pledged to work with all other members of the executive to improve the electoral fortunes of NDC ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Consequently, he appealed to members of TEIN to commit themselves to the ideals and principles of the party, and remain creative, active, proactive and productive considering the herculean task ahead of 2024
He said members of TEIN would work together to advance the cause of NDC at KUC campus, and build alliances to change the political narrative in influencing the dynamics on Kings University College campus.
He, therefore, urged all the other elected executive to endeavor to work hard for the NDC to gain attention and regain attraction on campus.
Zambaga Rufai Saminu takes over from Roger Amanor Nartey who served as President of TEIN from 2022 to 2023.
