Kurrency Boxing’s two boxers poised for boxing league return — Bright Aboagye

President of the Kurrency Boxing Management, Bright Aboagye, has hinted that the boxers under his management are poised and ready ahead of the Fight Night 6 of the Ghana Boxing League at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday night.

The well-respected and renowned businessman, who is also the CEO of Goldmart Jewelry, recently revealed his admiration for the sport and his passion to promote the sport in the country and beyond.

Speaking in an interview on Original TV, Mr. Bright Aboagye stated that he’s really got the sport [boxing] at heart, and has been a long time lover of the sport he intends to make more popular in this part of the world.

“I created Kurrency Management because I want to help Ghana boxing grow. We have talents aplenty here in country, but there’s been lack of support”, he said, while adding that, “I know most people don’t want to invest in the sport. I was skeptical at the beginning, but I decided to invest because I know one day I’ll get the support I deserve”.

Daniel Quaye, Lightweight boxer

Daniel Quaye, a lightweight boxer currently fighting under the management of Kurrency Management also expressed his readiness for the upcoming Fight Night 6 of the Ghana Professional Boxing League slated for the Saturday, 17th June 2023.

Speaking in an interview on Original TV, the young boxer stated he’s been yearning to go back into the ring and fight, and has been training since the Ghana Boxing League went on recess last month.

“The lightweight division hasn’t been tough for me. I let my training do the talking for me. I’m very confident now and I don’t think any boxer can defeat me in my category”, Daniel said.

Asked what his ambitions in the sport are, Daniel answered, “I’m here to raise the game to the next level. I want to take Ghana back to the top of the world. After Richard Commey, I’ll be the next Ghanaian world champion.”
