President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and newly appointed Second Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has expressed deep gratitude for his elevation to one of African football’s top leadership positions.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Gideon Okyere Anim (Gattuso) on Accra-based Original TV, Mr. Okraku humbly acknowledged the trust placed in him by CAF leadership and pledged to serve with integrity and dedication.

“I am truly grateful for this opportunity,” he said. “This is not a moment for boasting, but for reflection and renewed commitment to African football.”

The GFA boss emphasized that his journey to this point has been grounded in hard work, discipline, and the cultivation of strong human relationships.

He believes success is never achieved in isolation, but through teamwork and shared vision.

“I strongly believe that hard work and solid relationships with people are the keys to success. This new role is a reminder of the responsibility I carry — not just for Ghana, but for African football as a whole,” Mr. Okraku added.

His appointment as CAF’s Second Vice President comes at a time when Ghana is looking to reposition itself as a force in African football, both on and off the pitch. The news has been widely welcomed by stakeholders, with many praising Mr. Okraku’s calm and respectful approach to leadership.
