Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to congratulate him on his victory in the party’s presidential race.
The visit took place on the morning of February 2, 2026, shortly after the official declaration of results on Saturday, January 31. Mr. Agyepong said the gesture was guided by his belief that party unity must rise above personal ambition.
In a brief statement published on his socials, he stressed that the New Patriotic Party remains bigger than any individual and that respect, unity, and service to Ghana should always come first.
He described the moment as an opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to the party and its shared goal of advancing national development, regardless of internal competition.
