The Chief of Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region, Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III, has expressed gratitude to the Eastern Regional Security Council led by the Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong for its swift intervention to restore peace and order in the area over the recent tensions.
It will be recall that a gang of armed men clad in national security uniform ambushed the Abetifi Palace on Thursday 7th November 2024 at exactly 9:40 am which led to the kidnap of the Chief of Abetifi Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III to an unknown destination bare chested and several mishandled.
Recounting on the turnout of event on that faithful day during a press conference at the Abetifi Palace, Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III explained that the swift intervention of the Regional Security Council, the Abetifi Police Command as well as the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Bryan Acheampong immediately led to his released from the hands of those who perpetrated the criminal and unlawful act restoring peace and order in Abetifi.
Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III in conclusion noted by admonishing the general public to disregard any misinformation circulating on social media that the said woman involved in perpetrating the criminal act is a Queen Mother of Abetifi.
He therefore emphatically and categorically stated that the said woman is not a Queen Mother of Abetifi and that the Queen Mother of Abetifi is called Nana Amma Amanua who is currently with him in the palace.
The Queen Mother of Abetifi Nana Amma Amanua, on her part, condemned the move by the self-styled Queen Mother of Abetifi who perpetrated the act.
She also lauded the effort of the MP Bryan Acheampong and the Abetifi Police Command for restoring peace and order in the area and called for unity among the people of Kwahu Abetifi.
