The Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon constituency, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has expressed skepticism over the promised completion of the Out-Patient Department (OPD) of the La General Hospital by the end of October 2024.
Despite President Nana Akufo Addo’s assurances, the project remains at the foundation stage five months after the groundbreaking.
During a visit to the project site with journalists, Odoley Sowah noted that the main block of the project remains at the foundation stage, five months on.
She stressed the slow pace of work on the project, casting doubt on the feasibility of meeting the October deadline.
The La General Hospital was demolished in 2020 due to structural problems, and residents are unhappy with the slow pace of reconstruction.
