Press Secretary to the Vice President, Ama Pratt, has lauded Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for her graceful and empathetic approach to leadership, describing her as a model of humility and compassion.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana hosted by Annie Ampofo, Ama Pratt said the Vice President has shown deep respect for the elderly and for ordinary citizens, citing a recent incident where Prof. Opoku-Agyemang was seen warmly greeting an elderly man in a wheelchair during her visit to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
“The biggest achievement of Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is the grace she brings to leadership,” Pratt said. “Nation building is about facts and figures, but also about feelings. Leadership must lead by example, and Her Excellency has shown us the way.”
Ama Pratt also spoke about the Vice President’s recent tour of three major markets in the Ashanti Region, describing it as a reflection of her commitment to improving the lives of women. She said the Vice President believes in engaging directly with market women to better understand their challenges.
“You can’t stand on top of a hill and scream development. You have to come down to their level,” Pratt said. “You can trust an NDC administration when it comes to markets because our track record speaks for itself. This administration has built modern markets that truly serve the people.”
According to the Press Secretary, the Vice President’s actions show that leadership, at its best, is rooted in empathy and connection with the people it serves.
