A level 300 ICT student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her hostel.
The deceased, Rita Anane, a native of Buni in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region was found dead with a rope hanging on her neck at her hostel in Winneba located around the South Campus of the university.
The incident was discovered by some friends of the victim who had gone to pay her a visit.
Even though information about the matter appears sketchy, unconfirmed reports available to Metro News suggest that a boyfriend of the deceased has been picked up by police to assist in investigations.
