The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially identified former President John Dramani Mahama as “Government Official 1” and “Individual 1” in an ongoing investigation, confirming widespread speculation.
According to Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyapong, authorities from both the United States and the United Kingdom have confirmed this identification.
Addressing the media on the Airbus issue in Accra, on Thursday, August 8, Kissi Agyebeng exonerated the former president and NDC flagbearer.
Furthermore, the OSP has verified that Adam Mahama, the former president’s sibling, is “Intermediary 5” in the same inquiry.
This information adds a fresh dimension to the case by establishing a connection between the former president and his family and the people these aliases were previously used to allude to in the investigation conducted by globally recognized firms.
