A presidential candidate hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says Ghanaians reelecting former President John Dramani Mahama into office will be a nightmare.

Kennedy Agyapong believes the 2020 flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) lacks the qualities of a good leader and it is evident he mismanaged Ghana as president hence he should be rejected in his rerun bid.

Joining Paul Adom Otchere on Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the Assin Central MP said he is the best person to salvage Ghana from the untold hardship successive governments have ushered the country into with his expertise as an astute businessman.

“From his track record, he needs just one term (four years) even when he knew that if he manages the economy well he will have another term opportunity but he could not even do it. Now that he has just term time God knows what this man is coming to do,” the outspoken legislator noted

He stated that greed is fuelling the former president’s decision to run for office again.

Meanwhile, the maverick politician cautioned members of the governing NPP against divisive politics in the build-up to the flagsbeaership elections.
