President John Dramani Mahama has joined residents of Tse Addo in Accra for the first day of the National Clean-Up Exercise, reaffirming the government’s commitment to restoring flood affected communities, improving sanitation and reducing the risk of future flooding.
His participation underscored the government’s commitment to improving environmental sanitation, clearing affected areas and supporting recovery efforts in communities that suffered the impact of the flooding.
President Mahama said tackling flooding requires sustained action and collective responsibility, stressing that government, local authorities and residents must work together to keep drains and public spaces clean.
The National Clean-Up Exercise forms part of broader efforts to restore affected communities, strengthen sanitation measures and help reduce the risk of future floods across the country.
