Adam Mutawakilu has been appointed the new Acting Managing Director of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), effective immediately.
This appointment, made by President John Dramani Mahama, is in line with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
Adam Mutawakilu, with his extensive background in public administration, finance, and governance, is well-positioned to drive GWCL’s strategic goals forward.
His experience includes serving as the first Member of Parliament for the Damongo Constituency from 2013 to 2020 and as a Ranking Member of the Mines and Energy Committee in Parliament.
In his first address to GWCL staff, Adam Mutawakilu emphasized his commitment to collaborative work and acknowledged the critical role GWCL plays in ensuring quality water supply to all communities, particularly underserved areas.
GWCL in a statement expressed its full support for Adam Mutawakilu and looks forward to a productive tenure under his leadership.
