President John Dramani Mahama has donated relief items to the Mamobi Polyclinic in Accra as part of the Government’s response to the devastating June 29 floods that claimed lives, destroyed property and displaced thousands of people across parts of the Greater Accra Region and other coastal communities.
The donation is aimed at supporting the health facility and strengthening its capacity to continue providing essential services to people affected by the disaster.
Speaking during the presentation, President Mahama said the floods had left many families struggling after causing widespread destruction and forcing thousands from their homes.
He noted that the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), together with other stakeholders, is continuing relief efforts to provide assistance to affected families and communities.
The President reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting institutions and communities impacted by the disaster, assuring victims that efforts to aid recovery and restore livelihoods would continue.
