Former President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama has donated GH¢1,953,000 to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its internal election conference.
According to a statement released today, November 11, 2022, the NDC flagbearer donated the amount to support the conduct of the party’s constituency and the regional internal elections.
The release signed by the National Communications Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi said, “the donation is made up of an amount of GH¢853,000 to the national party leadership for the organization of the regional election conferences across the country and an amount of GH¢1,100,000 to the Electoral Commission to clear the debt owed them by the party in respect of the just-ended constituency elections by the party.”
The party expressed its appreciation to the Former President claiming, “the party is most grateful to His Excellency and his generous sponsors for coming to the assistance of the party at this crucial time.”
Meanwhile, the regional elections for the NDC start today, November 11, 2022.
