Mahama’s 120 Days: A promising start – UCC Lecturer

Dr. Patrick Essien, a University of Cape Coast (UCC) lecturer and founder of Molex Africa Foundation, has commended President John Mahama for his exemplary leadership within his first 120 days in office.

Dr. Essien, an expert in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), believes that the president’s actions demonstrate his commitment to serving Ghana and promoting discipline.

According to Dr. Essien, President Mahama’s eight years in opposition have given him a unique perspective, allowing him to learn from past mistakes and identify areas for improvement. This, he believes, will enable the president to make informed decisions and avoid past pitfalls.

While acknowledging that the president may not have achieved all his targets within the 120-day social contract, Dr. Essien noted that President Mahama has made significant progress, fulfilling a substantial percentage of his promises.

The president’s actions against appointees who default on asset declaration, Dr. Essien said, demonstrate his zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline and redundancy.

Dr. Essien urged Ghanaians to remain calm, confident that the president will deliver on his promises.

He emphasized that the code of conduct will help reduce corruption and related activities involving government appointees, promoting sanity in government institutions and other sectors.

Overall, Dr. Essien’s endorsement highlights President Mahama’s commitment to good governance and accountability, setting a positive tone for his administration.
