A young man in Techiman in the Bono East Region is reportedly on the run after allegedly striking his girlfriend on the head with a metal rod during a disagreement, leading to her death.
The incident reportedly occurred during an altercation between the two, although the exact cause of the disagreement and what triggered the alleged attack remain unclear.
Information available indicates that the suspect allegedly picked up a metal rod and hit the woman on the head, leaving her with serious injuries. She later succumbed to the injuries.
The suspect is said to have fled the scene following the incident and remains at large.
Police are reportedly making efforts to locate and arrest him to assist with investigations into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
