The Asene Manso Akroso District Fire Command in the Eastern Region has received office equipment and furniture worth more than GH¢40,000 from the Chief Executive Officer of Memphis Construction, Kwame Danso.
The donation is expected to help the Fire Command improve its administrative work and strengthen its ability to deliver fire safety services to communities in the district.
The items include computers, a printer and photocopier, television sets, an air conditioner, office furniture, cabinets and other essential equipment.
District Fire Commander, DO III Prince Ekow Asimaku Bondzie, thanked Mr Danso for the support, saying the equipment would make the work of officers more efficient and improve service delivery.
He said contributions from individuals and organisations were important in helping the Fire Service meet the needs of communities and maintain effective operations.
Mr Danso was presented with a citation in recognition of his contribution, as well as fire extinguishers.
The donation forms part of efforts to provide the district command with the resources it needs to carry out its administrative and fire safety responsibilities effectively.
