As part of activities marking the 189th Speech and Prize Giving Day of Wesley Girls’ Senior High School, the 2004 year group has undertaken a series of donations to schools within the Kakomdo community in Cape Coast.
The group presented items to Kakomdo M/A Basic School as a gesture of appreciation to the community for its longstanding support to the school. The outreach was also extended to Wesley Girls’ Primary School on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
The donation exercise forms part of activities leading to the anniversary celebrations of the historic institution, recognised as one of Ghana’s oldest senior high schools.
Items donated included stationery such as exercise books, pens, school bags, beverages and snacks, with support from Peeva Beverages Ghana to the primary school.
In addition, pupils of Kakomdo M/A Basic School benefited from a sustainable digital literacy mentorship programme organised in partnership with the University of Cape Coast, aimed at enhancing digital skills among students.
